If this were any other Pope, I would use this opportunity to be light and funny. But this Pope was different. The least Catholic of all the Pope's I've seen so far. This man broke so many boundaries and spoke of Jesus's work with true conviction while attempting to do his work within the confines of this holy convent, the Catholic Church.
He would die at 88 years old during one of the most impressive astrological alignments of the year.
This is a picture of him as a child.
Some other astrologers have already gone into detail about his passing. When I look at the chart myself, I am struggling to be convinced it was a natural death.
Even at 88 years old, the man born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, our Pope Francis the 1st, battling pneumonia and other old-age-related illnesses, was still full of vigor, doing the most that he could every day.
I learned this week that he spent these last few weeks on the phone daily with the clergy members working in the Gaza Strip, trying to help and support the innocent who are being so terribly annihilated by Israel. Even in his last public address, Gaza was the topic.
Cancer rising with Pluto in the first house—this man always came with power. A gentle power, a considerate power. The Moon, ruling over the chart, is in Aquarius conjunct Venus—a humanitarian heart and identity at his core.
In his natal chart, Pope Francis had a square from Uranus at the top of the chart to his Moon, and it also opposed Black Moon Lilith. These planets highlight how he was an anomaly. He would have made many in his own clergy very uncomfortable by illuminating truths. Uranus was retrograde in the 11th house in his chart.
We will never have a pope like that one again. I think he is the perfect Pope for the millennial generation to have grown up with—a last remnant of hope from ancient religions that have shown so much toxicity. To the average millennial who isn’t Catholic, Pope Francis was the one thing worth paying attention to regarding Catholicism and Rome. Very simply put, he was a good man trying to do good things. And just like everything else a millennial gets to experience. It will be taken away and robbed from us before we're done with it.
When I look at the astrology of his death, it's his natal chart and his life that are reflected in these transits. This man was fully activated over the last few weeks, recognizing the full scale of the pain that he carried in this world. He absorbed as much negative energy as he possibly could in these last few weeks.
I don’t think, at this point (8:53 a.m. on the 22nd of April), that the Catholic Church has spoken at all about what the death actually was, but I can state that I have some suspicions.
In charts of murder and other enforced deaths (like assisted suicide), we see Mars being a major factor, as well as Pluto. Sometimes Jupiter and Uranus can be affected as well.
**Trigger warning here because what I'm about to say is an abomination to many.**
I don’t think this death was accidental, and I don’t think it was entirely natural.
I think there was a little push—and being that this is the Pope who declared purgatory was not a place you're stuck but a process you go through...
Mars is extremely active in the transits of this chart, and Mars is intense. There is no soft way to say that. Mars is intentional, and Mars is powerful. Acts done under Mars are fast, swift, sharp, and penetrating.
If it was the Catholic Church that gave him the little push (popes have totally killed their own kind in the past), we will likely see an extremely conservative, aggressive, right-wing-leaning Pope as his replacement.
*(Friendly reminder: Pope Celestine V (1294–1296), allegedly murdered while in post-abdication captivity. Allegations blame his successor, Pope Boniface VIII. Boniface VIII (1294–1303) was in conflict with Philip IV of France and allegedly (though unlikely) died from the effects of ill-treatment one month before.)*
However, if it was the Trump administration (let’s not put it past them), I think the Catholic Church would know but not say it out loud. They’d end up putting an even more liberal, left-leaning Pope up to replace him.
And there was that time the pope corrected netanyahu about jesus's spoken language.
We all know how much Israel likes to be corrected...
Time will tell.
May his soul be everywhere. Thank you, Pope Francis.
